On the Road - From LA

The next transition of our life has begun-- coming in the form of a month long road trip across the country. Two of the major impetuses for this road trip are to attend a seminar in Dallas and to move ourselves to the east coast for the fall and winter. The benefits of a road trip are being able to see friends, family, supporters, and churches along the way. Right now we are in LA at Megan's brother's house.

(Photos: Grace upset while we're stuck in traffic. Don't worry she wasn't like this the whole trip. ; Three of us in LA.)

Another benefit of a road trip at this stage in our life is that it gives us time to think and reflect. We had to say a lot of goodbyes in Mtn. View. We look back at our months there and give thanks to God for providing a place for us to recoup and have our baby where we were well supported and loved. We also look ahead not only to our time on the east coast, but to our new life on the island and all the changes that will bring.

So we look forward to what our time on the road will bring. For now we can’t say we are very road-weathered (we’ve only completed the first leg) but tomorrow bright and early we head out for Arizona through the deserts of the southwest. I wouldn’t be surprised if they make us think of Chad.

PRAYERS ANSWERED
We are very thankful that the used car we purchased seems to be running well and that it was able to hold all of our things. Our computer was fixed in time for our journey. We were able to spend the past day with Megan’s brother who lives here in LA. Grace did well on the first leg.

PRAYERS REQUESTED
Tomorrow is one of our longest days of driving—please pray that Grace will continue to enjoy her car seat as much as possible. Please pray for the details as we make plans to return to Chad in late Sept/early Oct to visit and pack up our house there.
